http://www.dota-allstars.com/Recently, I've have been reading up on posts in the forum and it seemed like Keeper of the Light is being condemned to the extent that the hero was given 'FREE FRAG' , 'NOOB HERO' nicks which adversely affected the modesty of the hero. Barely anyone uses kotl now as far from what i know, be it pub games, ih or TDA. And of course, i am a die-hard kotl fan and enjoyed the every bits whenever i used him.
Well, u can say that kotl has no escape mechanism skill, pathetic low health, inefficient late game but ever considered how useful he can be. For example, clearing huge pile of creeps in just 5 secs, able to prevent irritating nukers such as qop, tinker, for just 50 mana cost Mana Leak and therefore, they pose no threat if their mana was reduced significantly by the effects of Mana Leak. And of course, what makes kotl as a helper is Chakra Magic. Not only does it restores 300 mana, it also regenerates .6 hit points per second and gives 28% damage increase. Wouldn't that the best thing u every beg for?
I've played kotl in many games, and mostly i played as a supporter(mostly won). Crucial timing is need for illuminate and the instinct of survivability is a must. Besides that, i'm able to farm up items like skadi, guinsoo which really boosts the effectiveness as a team. Proper aspect of skills is needed also.
So, i don't really know why kotl is useless to the extent that OMG KOTL, HERE COMES FREE FOOD!!
P.S I'm not tyring to flame anyone here, but i'm just stating actual facts that i've read in the forums, perhaps my personal views.
